    • I finally got around to finishing Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn and I have to say I had a lot of fun with it. I don't mind the crude, verging on racist, humor and the play style is reminiscent of early 90s beat 'em ups. There's even a move where you hit A to land a size 22 kick that launches the enemy straight into the screen just like TMNT IV: Turtles in Time. Shaq Fu never takes itself seriously, poking fun at crowd funding and the game itself. All of the old beat 'em up tropes are present and accounted for; endless enemies, random things in the background and foreground to smash, the odd object you can use as a weapon until it breaks, etc. At $20 USD in the eshop I think that the price is a bit steep for the amount of game time you'll get from it, if you play it on easy you can walk through this game in one sitting and I don't see much replay value in it. Harder difficulties does make it a longer process though. There is a DLC pack called "Barack Fu"  that opens up a new story line where you play as President Obama, the humor continues as one of "Dirty Barry's" moves lets you call in a "Peace Prize" drone strike. Nintendo's eShop says it released on June 5, but I can't seem to find it. The game's website says that physical copies come with a code to download a "bonus game" later this month. I haven't seen what that game is yet but I would suspect that it is the DLC so if you really want to fight as Barack Obama the physical version might save you a bit of money. Overall I give Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn a solid 5 out of 7 Size 22 Reebok Pumps. Pick it up if you find it on sale, and you enjoy old school beat 'em ups (think TMNT IV style with some off color humor and a stupid plot).

Super Mario Odyssey Original Soundtrack now available to buy!

Recommended Posts

I believe it comes with as many as 4 CD's with the entire collection of 136 tracks including "Jump Up, Super Star!" and "Break Free (Lead The Way)" and other special versions of the songs. It comes with a deluxe booklet with comments from the artists/developers and stickers! (who doesn't love stickers!?)

You can pick it up here on CDJapan: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/JBCZ-9075

or you can pick it up from PlayAsia for a pretty penny: https://www.play-asia.com/super-mario-odyssey-game-original-soundtrack/13/70bt25

All we need now is just a vinyl version and I may just pick it up! :P

Oh nice you like vinyl too ^^ I havnt heard all the music in Odyssey yet but from the ones I heard they are really good, upbeat jazz style reminds me of croc and omg I just remembered a game I wanted a remake/ remaster of! Croc 1!

Sorry nostalgia hit hard and yh vinyls are neat but use abit of room, Guardians galaxy mix tape/ vinyl is a nice compilation of music especially the second one.

I'm sure you already know but there is that website that makes vinyls for games old and new with custom box art and just do a really great job in presentation

I love vinyls, got a Crossley at Christmas then upgraded to an audio technica lp120 a few weeks back. I've bought more vinyls than I care to admit this past 2 months and pillaged the families vinyl collections too xD thanks for the link Sandman I'll be sure to peruse over what they have. I just love the novelty of changing records, the care that goes into having your music physically in the digital age. That and the awesome colored vinyls and sleeves to drool over/collect haha.

And oh god, Croc looks like a spin-off of spyro ^_^. Loved the music, getting them nostalgia  feels, despite not having played it (I think). Video game music does that to me.

And oh, it's down as I've been testing a few things to try and bring the speed of the site down. And removing the chat saved a second. It may be back soon or we may switch to Discord.

Ikr music has that effect and np with the link and apologise in advance for your spending habits Ik the pain is all too real.

Collecting and just constantly finding something new I was realistic and spend money on a portable heater for the family as its so cold atm over here, guess reality is more important xD

As for the chat  fair enough if it helps the site in the long haul, haven't noticed any problems on my end though.
