No love for the Atari ffashbacks? I bought both the NES and SNES classics when they came out. I don't play them, but I like owning them. That said I would not buy the Playstation, or likely any other classic system. Where the PS Classic is interesting to me is to see how well the games look. N64 games look incredibly dated, much worse IMO than NES or SNES games, so I'm curious to see how the PS games look on a classic system.

@StormyHall1955 Do you know about the Pokemon game(s) coming out in October? They're called Pokemon Let's GO Pikachu edition and Eevee edition. They're sort of reimagined versions of Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow (the original Pokemon games) with Pokemon GO support (you can transfer certain Pokemon from GO into the game). Considering that you're new to console video games and how much you love Pokemon GO, I imagine you'd have a blast with the game (whichever version you chose).

Whoops. Forgot about Atari! I think that the PS graphics will look even worse than N64 graphics. PS was always a lot darker and grittier as it is and I think that the low light and grainy texture was there to hide how bad their polygons were. The only reason I would want the PS one is for collector purposes and for Final Fantasy (coming to Switch) and Crash Bandicoot(also coming to Switch).

Nay. I am not a fan. I get the collectivity aspect, but it’s just not how I want to play my games. I am far more excited about the online service. Nevertheless, I don’t have the $35 to spend on it now.

Hello fellow Radarians! It has been a while since I have posted anything new so I figured.... I would do exactly that! This post concerns my newest obsession: Hollow Knight. Man, oh man. What a game this is! I am a major metroidvania fan, so games like Axiom Verge and Owlboy already appeal to me, and Hollow Knight is no different. There isn't a ton to mention as far as what makes this game special to me or stand out in a major way, but it is special and it does stand out. I like everything about this game. The art style is simple and unique. The gameplay is very simple and easy to handle, however, the enemies and bosses are anything but. This game challenges me in the same way I am challenged by a Dark Souls title. You fight, you die. You fight again, you die again. You try and level up, return to fight, die again. It's really a smashing good time. Something about the lore of the story has me drawn in as well. This underground kingdom of bugs, that has this tragic and mysterious past, is tons of fun to explore and master, searching every nook and cranny for new things. The other bugs you meet all have distinct and engaging personalities and voice acting, although they are speaking "bugish" and we cannot understand them without reading the text on screen, that somehow just fits perfectly and sounds right 100% of the time. My favorite bug voice is of the cartographers wife, Iselda, and her bored sounding sigh of "bafanada..." This game is hard as hell and super engaging. I highly recommend it for its playability and the way it translates from big screen to handheld. Some metroidvania games are best viewed on a smaller screen(Axiom Verge is a great example of this; on my 66" screen the game looks silly), but that does not apply to Hollow Knight. I love the way it looks on my TV and it is perfect and cozy in handheld mode. I bought this game while it was on sale for around $8 and I had a few hundred points, too. It cost me maybe $5 in the end and I have enjoyed it far more than Octopath Traveler(which I was SUPER excited for) that I paid $59.99 for.

There's Stardew Valley, which a lot of people love. I bought it on a whim while waiting in an airport, and maybe it was just the environment I was in, but I couldn't get into it. Seems like a game that is going to need a lot of time and dedication to play. Trying to play it while dealing with all the stress and keeping an ear out for airport announcements didn't work for me. I couldn't get into it on the plane either, but again that may be due to frequent interruptions. I had a lot of fun with Golf Story, a simple golf based RPG. Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition is out on the Switch just recently. It's currently on sale for I think $17. I haven't played it (or the non-pocket edition) but I've heard nothing but good things.

StormyHall1955 New Nintendo Switch owner that knows absolutely nothing about anything related to game consoles. Only game I play and when I mean play I mean it comes before any other night out activities or hobbies with both my husband and myself. We play Pokémon Go 24/7 I’m 41 years young and my husband is 42. We absolutely love Pokémon Go but recently I have had some medical issues and have had three major surgeries since March 2018 which came with three really long miserable and very painful recovery time!! So my wonderful husband bought me a new Nintendo Switch and here I am!!

When I was at Disney World last year I went in to see the Country Bear Jamboree. It happened to be raining when I dipped in and the place was really full. The lady starting the show said something to the effect of "we know you're not here for the bears, just hiding from the rain." Everyone laughed. I felt bad for the bears.

Long time no see people apologise for the absence but I noticed something listed today that made me instantly think of this. An official joy-con for the switch with a dpad hopefully of considerable quality something fans of platforms should find useful. Im interested but will wait to see how the reviews turn out, Hori has made some great products in the past but it's also had alot of hit or miss usually with minor issues that bring the product down on the whole. Downsides know so far being the lack of extra sensors. Release date Oct 1st 2018: Then again I imagine most people have their solution for a dpad by now whether a separate controller, adjusting to the new style or using custom kits.
