Article Does the Switch Need a popular FPS like Call of Duty or Battlefield? [POLL]
Activision and Electronic Arts are definitely working on titles for the Switch but as to what we don't know (aside from Fifa). But part of me can't help but feel like the Switch is lacking a good FPS game!

It's predecessor the Wii U launched with Call of Duty Black Ops which in my opinion was a roaring success. Come on, who doesn't want a multiplayer game with almost endless online multiplayer replayability in a handheld form?

Call of Duty graced Sony's Vita handheld with it's presence back in 2012 with Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified which by all accounts was a failure (thanks to it's lack luster 4v4 multiplayer and strange control scheme). So can it succeed on Switch?

I will argue that if Nintendo don't woo publishers like Activision or EA into bringing a big hitter like CoD or Battlefield to the Switch, they'll be missing a huge opportunity.

Do you think the Switch needs an FPS game like Call of Duty or Battlefield to garner mass-market appeal?

Article Nintendo: We'll have 2 million Switch consoles ready for launch!
If you were concerned about the Switch having certain availability issues *cough*NES Mini*cough* then not to fear, Nintendo claim to have 2 million Switch consoles ready to go worldwide come March 3rd.

Reggie filled in Wired magazine and confirmed the number, saying that 2 million consoles is a fair bit of stock and should keep the scalpers at bay.

He's doing all he can to reassure gamers there'll not be another repeat of the 'NES Mini' shortage drama.

Article A Sad Day For The Wii U - Advertising it's replacement :(
Reddit User Crescendo84 was early to spot that Nintendo are now officially using the Wii U as a platform for advertising it's successor - the Nintendo Switch. Some owners may not be too pleased (having just gotten a Wii U for Christmas)

At least Killrock saw the irony in it :D

Are you feeling sad? Does this mark an end of the saga that is the Wii U?

Article Nintendo Switch - March 3rd 2017 Release Date - Launch price - $299.99 & 2 Variants
Nintendo have at long last announced the price of the Nintendo Switch! It'll be hitting store on March 3rd 2017 with 2 variants and at $299!
Nintendo Switch Presentation - January 12th Predictions
Nintendo announced two weeks ago that it would be hosting an event in Tokyo dedicated to revealing the Nintendo Switch properly (and letting investors and media get some hands-on time). This includes pricing, release games, system specs, and more. Although they haven't confirmed if a Direct will be streamed, they have said that there will be SOME sort of stream on the 12th, but whether or not it'll be a live press conference ala E3 or a Nintendo Direct remains to be seen.

Obviously there's a lot of stuff to talk about and certain things deserve their own threads, let's keep it simple. Share 3 predictions for the event. Pricing, games, release date, you name it. Try to make them a little bold instead of something along the lines of "Breath of the Wild will be shown" because that's pretty obvious.

Here are my three:

1: Splatoon 2 will be confirmed as a summer release. Not a port.
2: Luigi's Mansion 3 will be announced as a launch title, being developed by NLG.
3: Nintendo Switch will launch on March 4th, 2017 worldwide.
