  1. DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/loose.dtd"> Here’s the odd Switch story of the week: a man believes that the HD Rumble feature in the Switch helped him discover a tumor in his hand. Posting on Reddit, an Australian programmer named Chris explains how he noticed a pain in his hand when playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. As soon as I played Mario Kart I started getting a shooting pain from my right palm to the first joint in my index finger when the controller vibrated, especially when collecting coins. He initially dismissed the pain as a repetitive stress injury since he’s a programmer and is on the computer a lot. But then: After a few weeks with the pain still there, and a small bruise-like mark showing on my palm. I definitely knew something was wrong, but the doctors told me to just keep an eye on it, especially when they found out that I use my hands a lot at work. The MRI and ultrasound tests showed that it was a tumor that was growing in his hand, with a 5% chance of being cancerous. I definitely believe that if it hadn’t been for the Switch I wouldn’t have gone to the doctors until the mark started to raise from my palm months later. He even shared a picture of it: To Read the Full Article visit it's source

  3. DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/loose.dtd"> Zelda: Breath of the Wild gives players a lot of freedom and Nintendo considered giving players even more freedom through control over the weather. In an interview with GameInformer, Breath of the Wild director Hidemaro Fujibayashi revealed an insight into a particular idea they had: “Initially we did consider giving players control of the weather, but realised not being able to control it is much more fun. Controlling it wasn’t really fitting in this game. In Ocarina of Time, you were in places that were just sunny or raining. That was the way the players were able to control that. Adding in the weather control would have increased the number of variables in the world. It was more interesting to have Link against nature, not controlling it. That ended up being more natural and fun.” Fighting nature is part of Breath of the Wild and one of the many things that make the game interesting and challenging. One could argue that less freedom in this case made for a better game. To Read the Full Article visit it's source

Now a new rumor suggests that the game might also include online multiplayer as well. That’s according to a LinkedIn page from one of the game’s developers. Last week we learned from several sources that Metroid Prime 4 is developed by Bandai Namco, who are working with Nintendo on the new Switch action game. If the game indeed has online multiplayer or some sort of online component, it could help sell Nintendo’s new paid online service, which launches later this year. 12. As for resolution, the game is still at 720p both in docked and handheld mode, and there hasn’t been much done on the visual quality side of things. But at least we get 60 frames per second (and that’s both docked and unocked). To Read the Full Article visit it's source

That makes it the first Switch game to reach 2 million in sales in Japan, faster than both Zelda Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey (although the latter will likely eventually surpass it). Earlier this week Nintendo announced the Splatoon 2 Starter Edition, which retails for the same price as the regular game ($60) but also includes a 100-page game guide and a sticker set. According to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, they are “going to do more things in the future” for the Switch. He told shareholders: “So yes, this relationship continues to grow, and we are very happy with what we were able to achieve with Mario + Rabbids. Let’s also not forget the fact that Just Dance is also a big seller on the Switch, and that will continue to follow the growth of that machine. And yes in the future we are going to do more things – we just can’t go over that right now.” Which Ubisoft franchise would you like to see on the Switch? Let us know in the comments section below.
