  1. There hasn't been as much hype around Mario Tennis Aces, either from fans or even really from Nintendo themselves. So after spending the weekend with the demo, what is your impression? Does Nintendo know that they're serving a fault and that is why they haven't built up the hype, or is this going to be a surprise must own title? I spent a few hours with the demo, enough to get somewhere north of the 1500 points required to unlock Chain Chomp. I got to the final round a few times but I never won a tournament, so I think that means I'm OK at the game, but I'm not good. Within the first 30 minutes or so I was thinking that Mario Tennis Aces is going to be a must own game for me. I was having fun playing with randoms and would have some long volley's with people, each of us being able to return special shots. But after an hour or two with the game the repetitive nature of it began to wear on me. The soundtrack was the first thing that got to me, I really hope there is much more music variety in the final version. The characters are different, but not enough to make me be excited about playing against one vs the other. Maybe it's the people I tended to play against but most of the time I could use the same opening strategy and get a win within 2 to 3 touches of the ball. I entered the demo without a real clear opinion on the game one way or the other. As I said, initially I was infatuated with it. However; like most infatuations it quickly faded and I found myself only focusing on the flaws. I left the demo thinking it's a fun game, but I'll probably wait to pick it up on the cheap to keep around for a fun way to pass the time rather than to play seriously.
